Accessibility

Our target

We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Professional learning is a condition of employment for the people using this service, so it has to work for all of them — an educator should never have to ask a colleague to register on their behalf.

What is in place

  • Every action reachable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
  • A “skip to main content” link as the first stop on every page.
  • Semantic headings, labelled form fields, and tables with proper header cells, so a screen reader can convey structure rather than just text.
  • Status and error messages announced rather than only shown in colour, and colour never used as the sole carrier of meaning.
  • Text contrast meeting the 4.5:1 minimum against its background.
  • Layouts that reflow to 320px and tolerate 200% zoom without loss of content.

What we have not yet verified

We have not completed a full audit with assistive technology, and we would rather say so than imply a conformance we have not tested. A review with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver is planned before general release. The certificate and transcript PDFs have not been checked for tagged-PDF accessibility, and the print views are designed for paper rather than for screen readers.

Tell us what is broken

If something blocks you, write to accessibility@solutionwhere.com and describe the page and what you were trying to do. We treat access barriers as defects, not feature requests, and your district’s professional learning office can register you directly in the meantime so nothing is missed while we fix it.
